So called Lady Ostapeck is an american-finnish women who got famous for her great artistic photography and unique collection of original  clothing and accessories.

Lady Ostapeck grew up in New Yourk, Brooklyn, she had difficulties with money but had such a strong passion for collecting old clothing and accessories, so she could stay hungry only to get the thing she wants.

Thants how her carrer as a photographer began: from the flea market she bought wery old camera even though she didn’t know how to use it. After a while she decided to try- she began making wery old looking (that lookied like from 19th century) pictures.

Here’s some pictures from exhibition “Lady’s fashion” witch is held in Art museum of Tampere (Finland). Here you can see Lady Ostapeck’s treasures that can be a great inspiration for fashion lovers.

A ball gown, 1840s

This 1840s dress that you can see below was hiding a secret for so many years. When it came to Finland and dress was in preparation works for exhibition in pannier little note was found, with the words: “Sweet was the day and sweet was the hour when coupid made me own thy power”. Noone will ever know what story  exactly is behind it, but we an guess that it’s a message from men that was hidden from all the world for about hundret years.
